Step 1: Count the Cost!

Remember why you are trying to lose weight or what it took to lose the weight you already have. Whatever the reason is, it should be at the forefront of your mind. Put a reminder somewhere you will see it regularly. Perhaps a picture of your family or what you looked like in college? Whatever it is try to visualize it and put it on your refrigerator, make it your computer or mobile screensaver, or maybe even put it on your bathroom mirror. Let it serve as a constant reminder of why your working so hard to Discover a Whole New Slimmer You.

Step 2: Schedule a Splurge!    

It’s only reasonable to expect at some point your going to slip up and endulge on some holiday treats. Look, we are all human and the holidays only come once a year right! The key is to have a plan, picking one or two events to indulge at instead of just struggling through the season only to blow it big time and completely fall off your diet.

The tendency is to either splurge a little here and there, effectively ruining your diet altogether, or to let a little splurge snowball into a complete fiasco.  Instead, be deliberate and stay in control, pick your splurges and stick to them. For those on the HCG Miracle Diet a full day of splurging is far better than splurging once or twice per day several days in a row.

To recover from a splurge day simply return to your diet as the normal and stick with it till your next scheduled splurge. Try to limited your scheduled splurges to as few as possible and leave at least a week between each splurge. Remember, one day of splurging can take as much as 3-4 days to recover from on the HCG Diet so use them sparingly during the holidays.

Step 3: Focus on taking it One Day at a Time

Instead of thinking of the holidays as a two month crucible of pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, and buttery dinner rolls focus on taking each day one at time. Don’t worry about tomorrow’s staff party or the family potluck next week, instead focus on making it through today. If you can make it through today, everyday, then you can make through till the New Year and still see the scale drop as you work to reach your weight loss goals.

• Handful of Organic Strawberries (add more as desired)
• 1 tablespoon Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
